Ghana Premier League champions, Asante Kotoko put up a fine performance on Sunday afternoon that saw the team see off Great Olympics with a narrow 1-0 win.
The Porcupine Warriors today faced off with the matchday 32 opponent of the ongoing 2021/22 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign already aware that they will be crowned champions on the final day.
In a game staged at the Accra Sports Stadium, Asante Kotoko faced a tough opposition from the home team but Great Olympics lacked the sharp attack to contest for the three points.
On the back of a goalless draw from the first half, Frank Etouga Mbella equalised with an assist from Fabio Gama in the 68th minute to propel the visitors to a narrow win at the end of the 90 minutes.
With his goal today, the Cameroonian is now the top scorer of the Ghana Premier League with 21 goals.
Meanwhile, the win today means that Asante Kotoko have completed the double over Great Olympics this season.
