AS Roma forward, Felix Afena-Gyan has scored his debut goal for the Black Stars in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers against Madagascar on Wednesday evening.
Ghana hosted their Group E opponent the Barea at the Cape Coast Stadium.
However, Afena-Gyan doubled the lead for the Black Stars from a close range on the 56th minute after Ajax midfielder Kudus Mohammed had opened the floodgate on the 53rd minute of the game.
The Black Stars went ahead to win the game 3-0 in their opening game with Osman Bukari scoring late to seal the win.
Afena-Gyan is making his third appearance for the Black Stars of Ghana.
