NIGERIA – A 22-year-old woman, identified as Miss Odama Mary Agado, has ended it all after discovering that her boyfriend was having an affair with another woman in Enugu, the capital of Enugu State.
According to a report by Vanguard, the young hairstylist, who hailed from Woleche-Ipuole in Yahe Ward, Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State, allegedly ingested a poisonous substance suspected to be sniper following the emotional incident.
Sources close to the deceased revealed that Mary had been doing well in her hairstyling business and had recently demonstrated her love and support for her boyfriend by buying him a car and renting an apartment in Enugu.
However, her world came crashing down last Friday when she paid a surprise visit to her boyfriend, only to find another woman in the apartment she had rented for him.
“She became very angry and left for her own apartment. There, she called her mother and told her what happened.

She also said her mother should take whatever happened in good faith, that she wouldn’t live again,” a family source identified as Daniel recounted.
The source added that Mary’s mother, who reportedly had no airtime to call her back, did not raise an alarm until she later received a devastating phone call informing her that her daughter had ingested poison and was rushed to the hospital.
Despite efforts by medical personnel to save her life, Mary was pronounced dead later that evening.
Her remains were subsequently transported to her hometown in Yala, Cross River State, where she was buried immediately due to her young age.
“Immediately the body arrived, we dug a grave and buried her because she was too young to be kept for a customary burial ceremony.
We are at a loss as to why she should take such action over a boyfriend. Some people say she was spiritually manipulated, but whatever it was, no blame game will bring her back,” Daniel added.
The family did not report the matter to the police, insisting that Mary took her own life.
