About 42 women are expected to be honored at the 9th Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards scheduled to be held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana’s capital, on Friday, 25th August, 2023.
The theme of the 9th Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards is: ‘Empowering Women to Drive Ghana’s Economic Recovery.’ The awards are organized by The Business Executive Ltd., an Accra-based Pan-African events management and media organization, to identify, recognize and reward great women whose excellent personal and professional performance has impacted positively on the Ghanaian society.
The female achievers will receive awards in categories such as Most Outstanding Female in Real Estate Development, Most Outstanding Female in Primary Education, Most Outstanding Female in Catering, Most Outstanding Female in International Relations, Most Outstanding Female in Hospitality, Most Outstanding Female in Catering, Most Outstanding Female in Facility Management, Most Outstanding Female in Automobile, and Most Outstanding Female in Non-Bank Financial Institution (Microfinance).
The other are Most Outstanding Female in Providing Agricultural Service, Most Outstanding Female in Insurance Brokerage, Most Outstanding Female in Providing Electronic Security, Most Outstanding Female in Commercial Cleaning Service, Most Outstanding Female in Banking, Most Outstanding Female in Optometry, Most Outstanding Female in Advertising, Most Outstanding Female in Corporate Directorship, and Most Outstanding Female in Construction.
The rest are Most Outstanding Female in Energy Innovation, Most Outstanding Female in Public Relations, Most Outstanding Female in Business Management, Most Outstanding Female in Entrepreneurship Education, Most Outstanding Female in Digital Marketing, Most Outstanding Female in Communications & PR, Most Outstanding Female in Information Technology, Most Outstanding Female in Dentistry, and Most Outstanding Female in Fruits Processing, among others.
According to Ms. Joyce Asare, the Events Manageress at The Business Executive Ltd., “The awards scheme has been established to identify, publicly recognize and reward women whose personal and professional conduct have been exemplary and whose achievements have been outstanding.
The awards seek to publicly recognize women in Ghana who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in various forms of endeavor across both the public and private sectors, such as entrepreneurs, professionals, corporate executives, public institutional managers, diplomats, sportswomen, traditional rulers, and others.”

Past awardees include Ambassador Nancy Sam, the Vice President of the Economic Community for the West Africa States (ECOWAS) Tourism Private Sector Confederation and President of Women in Tourism Ghana; Ing. (Mrs.) May Akwetey Amaki Obiri-Yeboah, Director-General of National Road Safety Authority; Prof. (Mrs.) Goski Alabi, Fonder and President of Laweh Open Universiy College; Theresa Oppong Beeko, CEO of Manet Group; Mrs. Yvette A. Atekpe, CEO of Internet Solutions; and Mrs. Antionette Kwofie, Director of Finance at Absa Bank Ghana.
The former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison, have received an honorary award for her contribution to the empowerment and advancement of women and children.
Other past honorary awardees are H.E. Claudia Turbay Qiuntero, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Columbia Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Stephanie S. Sullivan, United States Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Anne Sophie Ave, Ambassador of France to Ghana, H.E. Maria Elisa de Luna, Brazil Ambassador to Ghana, and H.E. Anne-Claire Dufay, the UNICEF Country Representative.
The organizers also publish The Business Executive magazine, a leading specialized publication which covers the local, African and global economy, business, banking, finance, investment, energy, agriculture, diplomacy, tourism, education, ICT and other socio-economic issues, which is circulated in Ghana, Nigeria and other African countries.
