KINTAMPO SOUTH CONSTITUENCY: 70 NPP Members Defects To NDC – READ
Today marked a great day for the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Kintampo South Constituency.
A health walk that today took place at Anyima, apparently, turned into a massive campaign rally. The event drew a massive crowd of people from places far and near Anyima. The program, which initially was thought to be an assembly of NDC supporters, turned out to witness more NPP supporters attending the program.

While the program was ongoing, a huge crowd of strong NPP supporters, some of which were branch executives, sorted for audience to speak. The people numbering over 70, most of whom came from Anyima, Cherihin, and other surrounding towns, publicly declared their defection from the NPP and announced their new membership with the NDC.

They complained, among other things, that the current NPP MP, Hon. Alexander Gyan has failed woefully as MP. They indicated that, while Hon. Felicia Adjei was MP, they witnessed massive transformation of the constituency of which they say, if it had continued, kintampo South would have gone far in development. They publicly swore never to return to NPP, promising to join the NDC in a door to door campaign.

The Regional Chairman Unas Owusu, who welcomed them to NDC, expressed the party’s heartfelt appreciation to the people. Promising them, the best of support in the coming days. He charged them to work hard for Hon. Felicia Adjei to win the parliamentary seat and His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to win the presidential election.
