A delegation from Pakistan’s Riphah International University met with the deputy minister of education in a bilateral meeting.

Dr. Clement Abass Apaak, the deputy minister of education, met bilaterally with a delegation from Riphah International University in Pakistan to explore the university’s plan to open a branch campus in Ghana.

Ghana and Pakistan are working to improve their educational cooperation, and this engagement is part of that endeavour.

Dr. Apaak welcomed the team on behalf of the Ghanaian government and minister of education, describing the proposal as a move in the right direction toward strengthening bilateral relations and increasing access to higher education in Ghana.

He restated government commitment to collaborations that promote research, innovation, health sciences, and STEM.

Hassan M. Khan, the university’s chancellor, emphasised the school’s developing global perspective, teaching hospital network, and emphasis on medical and health sciences.

He said he was willing to work with Ghana to provide high-quality postsecondary education.

As the Ministry continues to support strategic and long-lasting collaborations, the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission has been assigned to collaborate with the university and interested parties to further evaluate the proposal in accordance with Ghana’s regulatory framework.
