The Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr Johnson Asiama, has announced plans to roll out a National Remittance Strategy in 2026, alongside a Remittance Roadshow aimed at deepening structured engagement with Ghanaians in the diaspora and scaling up foreign exchange inflows into the country.
Speaking at the Maiden Diaspora Economic Growth Summit held at Bank Square on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, Dr Asiama said the initiatives will be implemented in close collaboration with the Ministry of Finance as part of broader efforts to strengthen Ghana’s external buffers and support long-term economic growth.
