The gazetted and recognized divisional chief of Asare, Nii Kotey Susubribi I, has called for unity among the royal families of Abease, urging cooperation and peaceful coexistence.In a speech delivered after the traditional kpokpoi sprinkling ceremony in the streets of Abease, Nii Kotey Susubribi I reaffirmed his status as the rightful and properly enstooled chief.
He dismissed recent claims by certain individuals to the Abease black stool as baseless and assured the community that the stool remains secure and free from litigation under his rightful leadership.
Nii Kotey Susubribi I expressed his displeasure over a recent incident that escalated into conflict, attributing the situation to individuals who hastily involved the media with false accusations intended to damage his reputation.
“I caution the media not to rush into reporting falsehoods. In the coming days, I plan to file a defamation suit against those individuals falsely claiming ties to the Abease royal family,” he stated.
He also extended well wishes to the Ga State, expressing hopes for prosperity and long life in the coming years, while appealing to the government to bring more infrastructural development projects to the Abease community.
He highlighted the availability of vast lands for such initiatives, emphasizing the urgent need for better education, social amenities, healthcare services, and a police post to safeguard lives and property.
The Queenmother of Abease, Naa Amanuwah I, also addressed the community, encouraging parents to prioritize their children’s education, particularly that of their daughters.
She advised women to invest in education rather than spend on weddings, outdoor events, funerals, and parties.
Naa Amanuwah I also called for peace during and after the December 7th general elections, urging the youth to avoid political violence and refrain from engaging in politics of insults.
She emphasized that maintaining peace is essential for the nation’s progress.
