Abuakwa North Mp Pay Homage To Chiefs In The Constituency.
The member of parliament for Abuakwa North, Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo who doubles as the deputy minister of education incharge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) today, 8th July, 2020 paid homage to the traditional leaders in the constituency.
She made the move in line with the celebration of the Ohumkan festival which started on July 7th 2020 in the Akyem Abuakwa traditional area.
Speaking to the press, the honourable member of parliament explained that, the traditional rulers have rallied behind her in all her endeavours hence the need to show her appreciation.
Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo appealed to the chiefs to urge their subjects to take part in the new voters’ registration exercise to enable them vote massively for her and the Nana Akufo-Addo government on 7th December, 2020 for more developmental projects.
She further advised that, all precautionary measures instituted by the government should be adhered to in order to curb the spread of the COVID 19 pandemic in the constituency and the country as a whole.

She made the call on Osaberima Adusei Piasah IV at Awansa Palace Akyem Tafo, Adontenhene Nana Dasebre Boamah Darko in Akyem Kukurantumi and followed up with Osiem, Anyinasin, Ettukrom Tontro and other palaces .
