At a joyous celebration when the people of Aklekweiman drumming and singing to marked the 10th anniversary commemoration of community.
The celebrations, which is a three-days event, formed part of the initiative of the council to recognise the tremendous achievement of the Aklekweiman of Adjen Kotoku.
Speaking at the official unveiling of Educational Fund and his 10th anniversary commemoration, the paramount chief of Aklekweiman, Nii Aklekwei III, reiterates that several events have been slated to ensure the active participation of all Aklekweiman of Adjen Kotoku across the world, who are expected to complement the roles of traditional leaders in the development agenda.
He said, there will be appreciation awards to some stakeholders and chiefs who have helped him in diverse ways since his installment as Paramount chief of the Aklekweiman.
Nii Aklekwei III requested the need for the completion of the Medie to Kotoku roads and other projects, which may have been initiated by previous governments.
He said as traditional rulers, it had always been their desire to see the people at the Adjen Kotoku District Capital live healthy in a secured environment.
“But the deplorable state of the road has putten threat on their movements especially in the night and when emergency cases are referred to Medie to Kotoku.
Some personalities who grace the occasion are the Paramount chief of Gbese Traditional Council who also doubled as the Ga state Adontenghene Nii Ayibote V, Chief of Kpobiman Nii Kootse II, Chief of Nikoi Tsuruman and chief of Nii Nikoi Tsuru III.
