Find Out What Happened Today After Akufo Addo Met Christian Atsu’s Family

This afternoon, February 27, 2023,
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo met the Christian Atsu, as well as representatives from the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Sports, Mustapha Ussif.

Christian Atsu was found dead under the rubble of his home in the Turkish province of Hatay after the 7. 8 magnitude disaster.

Government officials, football community members, coworkers, fans, and regular Ghanaians all expressed their sympathies to his family after his body was returned to the country.

Accra’ s Adjiringanor neighborhood will have a weeklong memorial service beginning on March 4, 2023, for the late football player.

We will call on the President on Monday, “Mustapha Yussif, minister of youth and sports, told the media. The strategy the
family has presented to the Ministry and GFA will then be made public, pending the president’ s approval.

To make sure the funeral is proper, we’ ve formed a planning committee.

The government has committed to
actively cooperate with the family in giving Atsu a suitable funeral.

The funeral arrangements for the late football player Atsu were finalized last Friday after conversations between the
footballer’s family, the Ghana Football Association, and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif.

But, the family wishes to express its deep appreciation for the outpouring of love and concern it has received since the death of a loved one in the horrific earthquake that struck Turkey.

The Twasams are extremely grateful to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo and the people of Ghana for their
support during this trying period.
