Applications for the 2026 Trade Licence (DV Plates) are now being welcomed by DVLA.

The 2026 Trade Licence, also referred to as DV plates, is currently accepting applications, according to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).

In compliance with Section 45 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004 (Act 683) and Regulation 23 of the Road Traffic Regulations, 2012 (L.I. 2180), the notice, which was published on November 19, 2025, invites automakers, owners of auto repair shops, and automobile dealers to submit their applications.

The DVLA states that all applicants must submit supporting documentation, such as a completed Company Registration Form A, a valid Ghana Card, and a valid business registration certificate.

Additionally, applicants must present proof of renewal for expired business registration certificates, a current SSNIT clearance certificate, and a GRA tax clearance certificate.

The Authority stated that contributions could be submitted in person or by email to the designated officers, [email protected] or [email protected].

All submissions must be submitted by December 12, 2025.

The DVLA thanked stakeholders and asked all qualified candidates to fulfil the requirements by the deadline.
