All The Organizers Of The Arise Ghana Demonstration Will Be Arrested- Police Service
The Ghana Police Service have assured Ghanaians that, they will do everything within their power to arrest the organizers of yesterday’s demonstration and put them before court for the attacks and damage to public properties.
The Arise Ghana Demonstration started very well yesterday, but at some point around 3 to 4pm in the evening, some members joining the crowd or the demonstration were started throwing or pelting stones at the Policemen and Policewomen.
Some Police personnel were injured so did some of the demonstrators got injured. And the police has released a statement that, about 29 demonstrators have been arrested so far and the will continue to arrest all those that took part in the violence.
And a very notable thing that the police also added in their press release is that, they will arrest the organizers of the Arise Ghana demonstration.
According to the Police, the Arise Ghana demonstration organizers will be arrested and put before the court for the attacks and also causing damage to public properties.
Ghana Police said, ” Also, the organizers of the demonstration will be arrested and put before court for the attacks and damage to public property, in line with the provisions of section 3 of the Public Order Act, (Act 491).
But in other news, the organizers of the demonstration, have blamed the Police for the violence that occurred yesterday. They have also revealed that, the Arise Ghana demonstration will continue today at 9am and they will use the roads they have chosen, but they will end at the Parliament house.
