The Obuasi Municipal assembly has closed the Obuasi Central Market to enforce social distancing directive in the wake of COVID-19. Two other sub-markets have also been shut down by the authorities. The municipal assembly has also directed all drinking spot operators to close down their shops effective from this morning. The Municipal Chief Executive of Dormaa Ahenkro Municipality, Hon. Drissa Ouattara on 7th May, 2020 issued a temporal ban on the business activities going on in the Tuesday market premises.
