Be involved in NVTI Examination and Certification to formalize your acquired skills – Apprentice advised
The officer in charge of the National Vocational Training Institute of the Bechem Municipal Assembly, in the Ahafo region, Mr. Eric Otoo has advised apprentices who are into various forms of Skill training to join the NVTI examination and Certification to enrich their chances of being considered as masters with adequate knowledge on their respective fields of work.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kwaku Mensah Abrampa on High radio Morning Show dubbed High Morning Breeze, Mr. Otoo disclosed that students in formal education after their education journey receive certificates that confirm their completion and pave way for issues relating to employment therefore, the NVTI is poise to ensure that all persons within the informal education sector who are into skills training are practically examined and given a certificate to standardize the acquire skills.
He stressed that the NVTI certificate is internationally recognized that warrants the skills acquired during the period of apprenticeship hence the need for all apprentices and masters who are not NVTI certified to enroll in the practical examination for their certification to enrich the validity of the acquired skills.
Mr. Ernest Bosompem kissi who is the head of the Department for the Business Advisory Centre (BAC) in the Tano South Municipal Assembly added that it is the responsibility of the Business advisory Centre to assist the NVTI with issues relating to certificates to trainees to enhance capacity building and to offer financial literacy to help them gain the needed knowledge on the management of their finances.
