Blogger has been arrested after former NCA board chair reports alleged false publication.

The Ghana Police Service has detained Samuel Amadotor, a Ghanaian blogger, for allegedly releasing false information on the former National Communication Authority (NCA) board chair, Okatakye Boakye Danquah Ababio II.

On November 20, 2025, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) published a statement confirming the arrest and said that it was carried out “with support from the National Signals Bureau (NSB).”

The police stated that Amadotor “maliciously published false information” on Mr Ababio, triggering an immediate investigation into the situation.

The CID also reported that the subject confirmed culpability during interrogation.

“The suspect admitted to the offence and mentioned one Chairman Michael Yeboah as the one who contracted him to make the false publication,” stated in the statement.

Investigators are currently pursuing the Chairman, Michael Yeboah, to assist with the case.

According to the police, the suspect remains in prison and will be processed for court on Friday, November 21, 2025.
