A Bolt driver and a passenger got into a heated argument over a GH1 fare, and they started fighting in the open.

Till they arrived at the passenger’s destination and it was time for him to pay for the journey, the trip was quiet and uneventful, with the driver even engaging in brief conversations while the car was driving.

The driver found it odd since the Bolt app listed GH1 as the total fare, which didn’t make sense to him. He contended that GH1 couldn’t go the distance between the pickup location and the final destination.

The passenger argued that he would only accept the amount displayed by the app because the driver would have accepted it without objecting if the app had displayed an exorbitant fare.

The two men got into a heated argument that turned into a public fight that onlookers enjoyed watching. In a video posted to Twitter by some of them can be heard yelling and pleading for the driver and passenger to be separated in order to prevent one of them from killing the other.

“The driver refused to accept the fare of GH¢ 1, stating that it was too low as the trip was a lengthy one. The passenger argued that he would only pay the price on the app and that the driver would have taken the money even if the fare were set at $1 million,” the video captioned.
