With just a few hours to December 7 for the much-awaited Presidential and Parliamentary Elections, both the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) are intensifying their campaigns. For now, the issue of corruption seems to be taking the center of the discussion.
Sammy Gyamfi to resign?
Well, the Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has vowed to resign from the party.
He revealed this while addressing the press in Accra on the recent Salis bribery scandal that has hit the Akufo-Addo government in recent times.
Vociferous Sammy Gyamfi described as “frivolous the NPP’s claim that Mr. Mahama took bribe in the purchase of an aircraft”.
He furthered that if the NPP can indeed show a single concrete prove that former President John Dramani Mahama or any of his appointees was involved in the Airbus bribery allegations, he (Sammy Gyamfi) will Resign from the NDC as Communication Officer.
“If the NPP is able to prove that President Mahama took bribe I will resign. We are daring you, show us,” he threw the challenge.
What do you make of this?
