The Office of the Member of Parliament has seen and been notified of speculations and comments as well as social media posts purporting to paint a picture of giving what belongs to the family to friends. Or what could be termed as giving what belongs to the old apostles to the later-day saints.
Let me set the records straight and let’s all take a cue from this.
For some days now, some people on social media are throwing tantrums that a portfolio one qualifies and has applied for should have been given to Hon. Felix Amakye who doesn’t qualifies, and never applied for because he has served for long. And this has been an agenda being pushed by the naysayers to incite Hon. Felix Amakye against the MP, MCE, and Hon. Samuel K. Ohemeng as well as inciting the public against the trio.
It is worthy to note the following as well to desist from the fruitless speculations and black painting of the MP;
1. That, Hon. Felix Amakye and none of the supposed old apostles have shown interest, and have applied for a portfolio at the VRA.
2. That, Hon. Felix Amakye has never asked or shown interest to work as an accountant at the VRA or any agency.
3. That, Hon. Felix Amakye does not hold Accountancy Certificate to qualify for a position of Accountant.
4. That, Hon. Felix Amakye holds Certificate as an educationist and does not have an accounting background in his education career.
5. That, Hon. Samuel Ohemeng holds Accountancy Certificate, showed interest in the portfolio and applied for such a portfolio.
6. That, Hon. Samuel Ohemeng has worked as an accountant at the Collins SHS for several years which gives him a better standing for the stated position.
7. That, Hon. Felix Amakye has not applied for any position at his education profession to seek for assistance to be pushed. However, he turned down a position he has previously sought for on three different occasions because he’s personally lost interest. Moreover, whenever he decides to take move to upgrade himself in life, the MP is ready to support him.
8. I want to categorically state that the Member of Parliament, the Municipal Chief Executive, and the Constituency Executives are in good standing with good relationships and are working hard to seek the welfare of every member of the Municipality.
9. The speculations that the MP is seeking only the welfare of the latter-day saints is false and must be treated with the needed contempt it deserves.
10. Should any opportunity comes to the interest of either the supposed old apostles or the latter-day saints, the MP and MCE will push for such interest for the betterment of our society.
11. That, the mp acknowledges the efforts of every single member of the municipality and he’s doing whatever possible at his disposable to satisfy each and every single soul.
12. Let’s embrace our unity for a better tomorrow.
