C/R: Pastor found dead on his farm at Assin Brofoyedru

An aged Pastor who is also a chief has taken his own life on his farm at Assin Brofoyedru in the Central Region.

The 76-year-old per the information gathered is a Pastor of the Apostolic Resurrection Society Church.

The man of God left home on Tuesday to go and work on his farm. Late into the day, his family realised he had kept too long on the farm and became concerned.

A search was subsequently mounted before he was uncovered dead and hanging on a tree on his farm.

Family and friends who are shocked to hear of the demise say the deceased did not complain of any problem before the incident.

Amid mourning, the Abusuapanin of the Bretuo Clan in Assin Brofoyedru, Johnson Oduro has told EIB reporters that everyone is stunned that the Pastor and Traditional leader has taken his own life.

The incident has been reported to the Assin Foso Police Command who are now investigating to ascertain whether it is suicide.

Meanwhile, the body of the Chief has been deposited at the St Francis Xavier hospital Mortuary.
