The 3rd of June, 2024, will be a significant day for the people of Sefwi Obeng-Mim, as they mark the 7th anniversary of HRH Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II’s enstoolment as Mimhene. His leadership and commitment to his community have been a source of inspiration and progress over the past seven years.
Adding to the celebratory mood, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Sefwi Wiawso, the Most Rev. Samuel Nkuah-Boateng, has invited HRH Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II to serve as chairman of the 2024 Catholic Youth Conference. This prestigious event is expected to draw over 2000 youth from across the Western North Region of Ghana. The conference will take place at the St. Joseph School in Wiawso Datano on the 1st of June, two days before the Mimhene’s enstoolment anniversary.
In honor of these two momentous events, the Oheneba Foundation of Ghana, in partnership with the Oheneba Foundation of the USA, is launching a special Enstoolment Anniversary fundraiser. The goal is to raise USD 1500 by the 30th of May, with the proceeds going to two noble causes. Of the funds raised, USD 1000 will be used to cover medical bills for sick children at the Sefwi Wiawso government hospital. The remaining USD 500 will be allocated to support the 2024 Catholic Youth Conference.
The enstoolment anniversary serves as a time to reflect on the leadership and vision of HRH Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II. His role as chairman of the Catholic Youth Conference underscores his commitment to nurturing the region’s youth, while the fundraiser demonstrates his compassion for those in need within the community.
