Dr. Louisa Hannah Bissiw, a prominent figure as the National Women’s Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has recently tied the knot in her second marriage, following her separation from her first husband.
The private ceremony, held on an undisclosed date, has become public knowledge after footage and photos were shared on social media platforms starting from Friday, July 21.

Dr. Bissiw, a one-time Member of Parliament, took this significant step after the dissolution of her previous marriage to Dr. Francis Kpormego, a medical practitioner based in Jamaica.
In images obtained by GhanaWeb, Dr. Bissiw is seen exuding sheer delight, engaging in intimate poses with her new spouse. Videos captured during the ceremony showcase the couple attired in vibrant orange outfits, joyfully dancing alongside well-wishers.
Hanna Louisa Bissiw, a veterinarian by profession, was born on July 23, 1972, in Techimantia, a town located in Ghana’s newly established Ahafo region.
Dr. Bissiw’s remarkable career has included notable roles, such as serving as the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, as well as being a former Member of Parliament representing Tano South.
Her educational journey is equally noteworthy, having attended Kumasi Girls Secondary School and later receiving a scholarship during the regime of former President Rawlings. This scholarship enabled her to pursue her studies in DVM at the prestigious Agrarian University of Havana in Cuba in 1999.
