Speaking to the Unit Committee Chairman, Mr. Ampem Darko Nicholas on High Radio, He noted that their attendance at the school premises coincidentally met the circuit supervisor who reported the case to the Education Director and subsequently ordered the closure of classes 1 and 2 pupils until the case is solved since it poses danger to their health.
Mr. Darko said his members and the Assemblyman are doing all they can to tackle the unfortunate incident to pave the way for the young ones to get back to classrooms.
The act which was said to have started some 1 year ago came to a halt over a series of interventions by Nananom, Assemblymember, and his committee members who provided night watchdogs to watch the school premises at night to prevent the act only to notice it again last Tuesday when the Staff called the unit Committee Chairman and his assembly Member to witness the unfortunate scene early hours of Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
The Unit Committee Chairman revealed their readiness to fight the canker denoting that they will be having a stakeholders engagement meeting with Nananom today to decide on what can be done to ameliorate the uncultured act.
He pleaded with all persons to stay away from such an attitude because it has future repercussions on you and your generations and keeps denting the image of the community within which it happens.
He concluded that it also affects teaching and learning which negatively impacts the school-going pupils.
