COPEC issues a warning about increases in LPG, petrol and diesel, fuel costs will increase starting yesterday, November 16

The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) has declared that starting on Saturday, November 16, 2025, fuel prices would increase at all pumps due to rising global oil costs and the declining value of the cedi.
COPEC predicted that petrol prices will rise by roughly 3.38%, from an average of GHS12.18 to GHS12.59 per litre, in a statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Duncan Amoah. According to the announcement, diesel prices could rise by 9.81%, from GHS12.49 to GHS13.71 per litre.
With prices predicted to increase by 1.97% to GHS11.87 a kilogramme, LPG consumers are also anticipated to feel the squeeze.
The anticipated changes, according to COPEC, are a reflection of global market patterns and currency pressures that impact the price of petroleum imports.
The Chamber further stated that although the actual increases might vary slightly at different pumps, they would probably be within five percent of the estimated amounts.
Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) should cushion customers whenever possible, according to Duncan Amoah.
“We appeal to OMCs to absorb part of the increases to avoid burdening consumers with steep hikes,” he stated.
