E/R COVID19 Fight: Mp Donates Infrared Thermometers To Local Council Of Churches.
Honourable Gifty Twum-Ampofo, member of parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency also the Deputy Minister of Education incharge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) has today Saturday 4th July, 2020 , donated fifty pieces (50pcs) of non contact thermometers to help the local council of churches beef up the COVID 19 safety protocols as the President eases restrictions amid the pandemic.
Honourable Gifty Twum Ampofo mentioned that, her decision was informed by the fact that, churches were not operational for almost three months that makes it difficult for most of the churches in the constituency to procure the infrared thermometers which are comparatively expensive to screen their members to help curb the COVID 19 spread as the president Nana Akufo-Addo directed when he eased the restrictions.
The honourable member of parliament admonished all ensundary to abide by the COVID 19 safety protocols to help fight the pandemic and bring life to normalcy.
“Let us all sound the loud trumpets of the COVID 19 safety protocols, washing of hands regularly with soap under running water, using hand sanitizers, keeping reasonable social distances, wearing of face masks and staying home if we have nothing doing in town, will all help to curb the spread of the pandemic and bring life to normalcy”. Hon Gifty Twum-Ampofo advised.
Receiving the items on behalf of the council, Rev. Isaac Ofori Asirifi,
Chairman Abuakwa North local council of churches, thanked the mp for the wonderful guesture and continuous support to churches and promised to put the thermometers to the best use. He further blessed her in all her endervous.
