Since 1992, in the fourth republic of Ghana, religious leaders especially the christians come out with prophecies before, during and after the election processes.
Others also embark on statistical predictions and precedence for the outcome of the election. Whether being real or not, no legal actions have been so far metted on any predictor.
With these, somewhere in October this year, a religious leader called “Eagle Prophet” prophesied that, this year’s election will be distorted by heavy windstorm following thunderstorms and rainstorms all over Ghana and this will indeed cause voting difficulties.
Though many of his colleagues have also come out with theirs, the attention shifted to that of Eagle Prophet’s because of its effects on the general election. Many quizzed if such weather condition is experienced nationwide, what will be the outcome?
Eagle Prophet is today known to be “prophet of no sign”. He opted for windstorms, thunderstorms and heavy rainstorms that will cease the entire election processes but Ghanaians did not experience such, though it rained whilst the voting was over and this could not cease the voting processes.
Ghanaians are calling for mandated institution that will deal with those fake prophecies because those prophets are causing fear and panic and it is completely unlawful. Some even go extra over common senses to announce that some personalities will die. Others also pre-inform the electorates a political party that will win the presidential race. All these prophecies do not even come real and no one challenges them.
Eagle Prophet and co who fail in their prophecies in this year’s election must be called to book and no one should take them serious as they are really men of God.
