Former President, John Dramani Mahama has extended his best wishes to all Muslims in the country marking this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
Muslims in Ghana are joining others around the world to mark the 2022 Eid-ul-Adha celebrations today, July 9.
In a short statement posted on his social media pages, ex-President Mahama has prayed for Allah to accept the sacrifices and prayers of all Muslims.
“We thank Almighty Allah for the opportunity to celebrate this year’s Eid.
“Happy celebration to all our Muslim brothers and sisters.
“Wishing you a blessed Eid ul Adha.
“May Allah accept your sacrifices and prayers,” a post on the social media pages of the leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) reads.
Following the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has declared Monday, July 11, a public holiday.
