Father and stepmother beats daughter to death over leftover food
Kokrobite – The brutal death of a 13-year-old girl, only identified as Baby has left Ghanaians teary.
The girl was beaten to death by her father and stepmother after she ate leftover food that her older sibling had stored in their room.
According to neighbours who spoke to newsmen, the father frequently accused the young girl of stealing.
The latest assault stemmed from the father’s claim that Baby had taken the leftover meal without permission.
A witness indicated that following the severe beating, the girl was initially left under a mango tree, visibly struggling for her life.
She was later smeared with oil and taken inside the room, where she is believed to have tragically died.
In a detail that shows the horrific indifference of the alleged perpetrators, community members revealed that while Baby was in her final moments, her father and stepmother were pounding fufu to eat.
