Fire has gutted some houses and properties in Pankrono a suburb in Kumasi.
According to an eyewitness, where the unfortunate incident happened used to be a bare land which the youth used as a football pitch.
He added that for some time, people have started putting up buildings in the area, with someone also opening a carpentry shop on the same piece of land.
The eyewitness added that when the fire started they reached out to the Ghana National Fire Service in the area but all efforts proved futile until about 30 minutes later when they got in touch with the fire service who arrived at the location to help put out the fire.
Upon the arrival of the fire service, the youth in the area had managed to bring the fire under control but the fire service shortly after trying their best to put out the fire complained that the water in their car was finished.
