The late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet TB Joshua, had his tomb shelter in the Agodo neighborhood of Ikotun, Lagos, devastated by fire on Wednesday, April 27.
The flame has been put out, according to Ibrahim Farinloye, the acting coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), who confirmed the news to Punch on Wednesday.
Farinloye went on to say that the fire originated in a building owned by late TB Joshua, where he used to rest while he was alive.
“The event occurred in a building owned by the late pastor,” he stated. The late pastor used to go there to contemplate and rest. Officials from the federal fire brigade arrived to put out the blaze.”
Margaret Adeseye, the chief of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, said the fire damaged a portion of the late pastor’s tomb shelter.
“It has been established that a part near the late pastor TB Joshua’s grave caught fire,” she said. Because the tomb was placed in an open area, a shelter was built to cover it, and it was the shelter that caught fire.
“However, we were able to contain it, and it did not spread beyond its initial location.” The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.”
