The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested the founder of the Defunct Ga Dangbe Lands Administration ( GDLA ) David Adjekwei Adjei alias kimens also popularly called King Ayi Tunma.
The arrest was carried at the early hours of 5am of Wednesday 18th of October, 2023 at his residence at Sowutuom in GA West District of the Greater Accra Region.
The arrest of King Ayi Tunma which was carried out in a Rambo style from the gate of his residence was carried out by a special assigned team of the Counter Terrorism Unit of the Ghana Police Service of the Greater Accra Regional Police Command.
The suspect who arrested according to sources revealed that, they acted upon a complaint of the sale of a landed property belonging to one Dr. Desmond Nii Odartey Aryee – Boi , Chief Executive Officer for Bonades Construction Company limited which has its office complex at Tse- Ado in La.
Sources further revealed that complainant Dr. Desmond Nii Odartey Aryee-boi lodged a formal complain to the Accra Regional Police Command over some two plots of land at the backyard of the premises of the Defunct Ga Dangbe Lands Administration office at Tse Addo.
The land according to the complainant has been there for several years without any Development on it.
But he realized that some people including the Suspects King Ayi Tunma started showing interest on the lands.
He noted that he briefed the Suspects King Ayi Tunma about some past confrontations and events that had transpired on the land and seek for measured to address these issue through the GDLA.
But little did he know that his intention to seek for assistance and direction was rather going to compound to worsen his plight on the issues confronting his landed.
He retreated that , he realised his two plots of land behind the Bonades office complex was being developed without his knowledge and concern , and questioned who was working of the land but the Suspect King Ayi Tunma failed to present who the developer was.
He also said that all efforts to stop the developer proved futile because the Suspects King Ayi Tunma prevented him from interrogating the workers on the land to know their boss.
I am by this reason writing a petition to the Accra Regional Police Command for proper investigation and interrogations to know who has unlawfully sold out my property and who has entered and further to develop without my consent.
He recalled that somewhere in 2019 ,the Suspect came to the office of Bonades Construction Company limited with a friend in request for the used of the office for the operations of the Ga Dangbe Lands Administration but later found out that his property behind the office as Tse-Ado at La ,has been sold out by the suspects to an unknown developer at the cost of 200, 000 dollars out of which 130, 000 dollars has been paid in various sums of money through cash payment and cheques of an Ecobank Accounts belonging to the Suspect and his defunct company name of the Ga Dangbe Lands Administration ( GDLA. ).
The Suspect is currently in the custody of the Accra Regional Police Command to assist in further interrogation for the facts to be unravel untill due process will be carried out for a legal Court Action.
