The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said that it has been given the go-ahead to pay the wages of 6,249 teachers who were hired in 2024.
The Ministry of Finance’s permission, according to a statement signed by GES Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenyi, enables the Service to complete all procedures required to put the impacted employees on the automated payroll.
GES stated that although the clearance expires on December 31, 2025, management is making efforts to guarantee that all qualified teachers get their wage payments in November 2025.
The Service reaffirmed its commitment to making sure salaries are paid on time and accurately and thanked its employees for their hard work.
