The revolutionary peace proposal for Gaza put forth by President Donald J. Trump, which aims to stop the conflict’s immense suffering and death toll, is welcomed by the Government of the Republic of Ghana.

It is a great step and a relief to the suffering civilians that the suggestion to cease the conflict, reconstruct Gaza, stop the annexation and displacement of the Palestinian people, and forward a comprehensive peace plan has been made.

We hope that the effort will eventually offer a workable route to a fair, comprehensive, and long-lasting peace where the States of Israel and Palestine can coexist peacefully and securely.

Ghana encourages all parties to support this historic peace proposal and stands prepared to work with all international partners to promote communication and understanding in order to revive the Middle East Peace Process.
