Ghana Attends the Second World Social Development Summit in Doha

Ghana’s delegation is being led by Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, to the Second World Summit for Social Development, which will be held in the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha, Qatar, from November 4–6, 2025.

“The Second World Summit for Social Development” is the theme of the summit, which was called at the level of heads of state and government.

It seeks to close the gaps, renew commitment to the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development and its Action Plan, and expedite the 2030 Agenda’s implementation.

Events leading up to the summit took place on November 3, 2025.

Presidents, ministers, and other high-ranking government and non-government figures were present at the opening ceremony.

Ghana is still actively involved in the proceedings, participating in conversations and interactions at several Summit levels.
