The nation’s first-ever One-Day Expedited Passport Delivery Service, which offers a full 24-hour turnaround for the issue of a regular, ICAO-compliant Ghanaian passport, was launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
With a simplified application process and worldwide courier delivery, the new service is intended to address urgent travel needs, such as last-minute work trips or family situations.
Additionally, applicants will have access to a specialised E-Tracking system for real-time passport status monitoring.
GHS 2,000 is the application cost for the expedited process.
The Ministry reiterated that the current passport application process is still the same.
Delivery is assured within 15 working days via courier at no extra cost, and the regular passport price of GHS 350 is still applicable.
This invention is marketed as a significant improvement to consular services, offering citizens with urgent travel needs a dependable choice.
The accelerated service is available to applicants via the Ministry’s official website, passport.mfa.gov.gh.
