The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Ag. Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah (MP), made a strong call to action in front of judges, solicitors, and students at the Chief Justice’s Mentorship Programme, demonstrating Ghana’s unwavering resolve in the fight against illegal mining.
The Minister warned that illegal mining has deprived communities of health, dignity, and their children’s birthright while painting a vivid picture of Ghana’s natural heritage of lush forests, fertile farmlands, and blue waters now marred by what he called “gaping, bleeding holes in the earth” in front of a group of jurists and young mentees.
