The Government of Ghana recorded a 14.1% oversubscription of its treasury bills auction just a week after missing its target, amid mixed yields on the yield curve.
According to the auction results by the Bank of Ghana for Tender 1973 held on 19th September 2025, the government received GH¢3,445.95 million in total bids and accepted GH¢3,432.82 million.
A little over 74% of the bids came from the 91-day bill. About GH¢2,661.07 million of the bids were tendered, and the uptake was GH¢2,651.07 million.
For the 182-day bill, GH¢705.71 million of the bids were tendered, which was higher than the bids tendered last week. The bids accepted were GH¢695.39 million.
Also, GH¢119.57 million of the bids were tendered for the 364-day bill, and about GH¢116.57 million of the bids were accepted.
The target for the subsequent auction, Tender 1975, has been set at GH¢3,710.00 million.
