GNP: Pupils Of Opoku Ware Basic School Study Under Trees


It has come to the notice that students of Opoku Ware basic school in Kumasi, Ashanti region of Ghana have started studying under trees.

The report by TV3 weekend news indicated that the management of the school has taken the measure of allowing the pupils to study under trees because of Covid-19 disease.

According to the media report, though the school used to have the required housing facilities but now, it cannot contain the students in this pandemic era.

The management has to reduce the capacity each class used to take to be able to ensure and observe effective Covid -19 pandemic protocols as ordered by the president Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo.

This situation has compelled the management of the school to let some of the classes study under trees.

The school authorities are pleading for immediate attention to help restore or have good learning environment.
