The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) is set to sign a gold refining partnership with Gold Coast Refinery on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in a move seen as a significant step towards deepening Ghana’s gold value chain.
The agreement is expected to expand domestic gold refining capacity, strengthen the local mining ecosystem, and support the government’s broader industrialisation and value-addition agenda.
The signing ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Conference Room on the fifth floor of the GoldBod Head Office in Accra.
Minister for Finance and Member of Parliament, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, will attend the event as Special Guest of Honour.
