Good news hit boy who walks 50km to school as he gets full year scholarship
The boy from Kakamega county who trekked for a distance of fifty kilometers from his home to report to a secondary school in neighbouring Trans Nzoia county has now received a full year scholarship from Mombasa cement limited company.
The company said that it will pay George Masinde’s full year fee at St.Joseph’s boys High school Kitale.
“We were touched by his story and decided to come in to assist him achieve his goals. The directors were moved by the story of the young boy.
We have decided to meet his full tuition fees for January,”said Chirag Bhatt of Dodhia super distributors limited who talked on behalf of the cement company as a whole.
Zipporah Kamau,one of the directors of Wasili Cabs also contributed towards the boy’s school fees and pocket money.
“I see him like my son since I am aware of the challenges my fellow parents go through. And we are calling on well wishers to come forward and assist not only this boy but also others who are in need,”said Kamau.
