“He Will Lose Even If He Deploys Military Men At All Polling Centers”
Says Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
The next elections are a little over 2 years away and yet political parties are gearing up for that contest. On Good Morning Ghana today, Thursday, August 25, 2022 Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a former Deputy Communications minister under the erstwhile John Mahama government expressed dissatisfaction about Akufo-Addo recent comments. He explained that he feels appalled that president Akufo-Addo is boldly declaring that he will make sure he hands over to another NPP figure.
Felix mentioned that no form of force and machinations of Akufo-Addo will prevail as the NDC are ready to stand on their grounds to make sure fair and credible elections are held in 2024.
“Unemployment is the highest level in the 30-year history of the Fourth Republic and President Akufo-Addo say on top of this Ghanaians will queue and vote for him. There should be no room for him to pour insults on the people. We in the NDC will serve him a notice. If he likes he should deploy the entire Ghana army and bandits to gun down everybody, he will still lose” Felix said.
According to Felix, the President knows there have been some corrupt dealings under his watch and so will do everything possible to install another puppet in the form of Bawumia to cover his tracks. Felix boldly stated that the NDC are ready to make sure that the NPP lose and Ghana is liberated from the family and friends’ government of Akufo-Addo.
This is not the first time we are hearing communicators of the NDC stating that they will be alert at the next elections. Indeed, before the 2020 elections they said same and yet went on to lose the elections. Interesting also is the fact that despite all the economic hardships, President Akufo-Addo will say that he intends to hand over power to another NPP, especially when Ghanaians know that the same people he intends to handover to are those in power with him.
The President should rather be interested in fixing the country before 2024 so that Ghanaians will judge him based on that and vote in 2024 but to go around declaring he will handover to an NPP gives a false impression that Ghanaians are satisfied with his performance so far.
