The National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuru Sharubutu who a few days ago turned 104 was yesterday paid a royal visit by His Royal Majesty Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III-Okuapehene. Aside from the cutting of cake to mark this milestone, the two leaders used the occasion to further preach the message of peace and the need to co-exist even in our religious differences.
Oseadeeyo expressed his excitement in again getting to meet the Chief Imam since they last met 2 years ago in Akropong when the Chief Imam visited him. He further urged all to emulate the ways of Sheikh Sharubutu who over the years has championed the need for peace and unity.
The National Chief Imam on his part mentioned how pleased he was to again meet His Royal Majesty, he prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the life of Oseadeeyo and his subjects and assured him of his continuous support.
Oseadeeyo presented assorted food items and an undisclosed amount of money to the Chief Imam and his subjects. After which, he was taken on a tour of the huge and beautiful Ghana National Mosque Complex situated in Accra-Kanda.
