Hon. Alex Blankson in collaboration with the Akrofuom Chapter of the National Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians(NAHB) organized it’s first graduation ceremony in the Akrofuom District.
The event under the theme “Building the nation through entrepreneurial skill” was held on Sunday 11th June 2023 at the Roman Catholic School Park, Akrofuom.
The Chairman for the program, Mr. George Sarfo Kantanka, Akrofuom District Director of Education in his acceptance speech extolled the MP for the great work done.
The president of NAHB for the Akrofuom District, Mrs Cecilia Akko humbly pleaded with Nananom to offer the association a piece of land to establish a training centre. She revealed that most of the youth have no interest in the profession because of its capital-intensive nature and appealed to the DCE and the MP for their assistance.
Hon. Dr. Maurice Jonas Woode, the DCE for Akrofuom District vividly explained the necessity of the profession in the life of a Ghanaian women. He assured the association that the Government has rolled out programs to assist them to bring out their entrepreneurial skills to life.
The Safohene of Akrofuom Traditional Area, Nana Appiah Brentuo on behalf of Nananom assured the association that Nananom of Akrofuom Traditional Area are ever ready to assist the union.
Hon. Alex Blankson, in his remarks attributed the success of the maiden program to the Almighty God. He indicated that the strength of every nation depends on it’s youth, hence encouraging the youth into entrepreneurship is paramount to him.
Hon. Alex Blankson presented a brand new hair dryer and 1000 cedis each to all the 7 graduands.
