This is Ecobank’s way of enhancing faster bank operations and improving customer service satisfaction in the banking industry. With this, Ecobank is targeting 100 million new customers nationwide.

The Ecobank Xpress Account is free to open and can be opened at any time without visiting the bank, filling forms or submitting documents. You can open it right in your home, on street or office and it is without internet. All you need is a mobile device with an active SIM card on it.

The phone is any type of mobile whether java, android, iPhone, Blackberry or non internet enabled phone, it doesn’t matter

What You Can Do With The Account OR How to Use the Xpress Account

The Ecobank Xpress Account is a normal savings account with which you can do the following;

• Airtime recharge for your line and others
• Fund transfer to both other Ecobank account and other bank.
• Bill payment such as PHCN, Cable TV etc
• It can be used for merchant payment
• To receive online payment
• Can be your to receive YouTube and AdSense earning

There are two ways to create an Ecobank Xpress Account using phone:

1. Using shortcode
2. Using ecobank mobile app

How To Open Ecobank Xpress Account using code

To open Ecobank Xpress account kindly follow the steps below;

• On a mobile device with an active SIM card, dial *326#
• From the pop up screen message, select 1 and input first name
• Next is to input your last name
• In the next prompt, input your date of birth
• Select your mode of identification from the list provided
• Select whether male or female
• Next is to confirm whether you want to open the xpress account. Once you confirm, you will get an instant notification for the account opened in which your phone number becomes your account.
• You will receive a one time password (OTP) of six (6) digits which you will use to change to your preferred easy to remember but hard to guess PIN. This PIN will be use to authorize all transactions.

How To Change Your Ecobank Xpress Account PIN

To change your one time password to your preferred PIN, kindly follow the steps below;

1. On your mobile line through which the account was registered dial *326#
2. You will be provided with two options either to change your one time password (OTP) or cancel. Select 1 to change your password
3. Input the one time password (OTP) sent via SMS
4. Next is to input your six (6) digits password. Once confirmed, your account is ready for use.
5. Now you can receive money into your account, remember your account number is the same as your phone number without the first zero (0).

How to open Xpress Account Using Mobile App

• To open Ecobank Xpress Account using mobile App, first visit Playstore or AppStore and download the Ecobank Mobile App
• After downloading the App;
• Open the App and click on “No, I’m new to Ecobank”
• Select your country and enter your phone number that has Mobile Money on it
• Click on Open Ecobank Account
• Choose Xpress Account
• Enter the code sent to your number from Ecobank
• Next, fill the forms: name, date of birth, next of kin, email address etc
• Next, choose verification method. Select with ID
• Confirm your ID and boom, your Account is ready to use

How To Transfer Money From Ecobank Xpress Account Using Code

To transfer funds from your Express account, there are two methods.

1. Using the MoMo code of the network you use
2. Use *326#

Using the MoMo code of the network you use, Method 1

How To Transfer Money From Ecobank Xpress Account Using MoMo Code. You can use this method to load your Ecobank account as well as withdraw from Ecobank account to MoMo

• Dial the MoMo of the Network you use
• Select option “Financial service”
• Select bank services
• select transfer from bank
• Look for Ecobank in the pop up list of banks and pick ecobank
• Select Ecobank account you want to transfer from
• Enter amount
• Enter MoMO pin to confirm

Use the same steps above to send money from your MoMo to your Ecobank account. [Note: at point 4 you will select transfer to bank

Simply follow the steps below for method 2;

1. On your mobile line through which the account was registered dial *326#
2. Select option 2 which is the send and receive option
3. Next is to select the type of transaction whether domestic transfer or interbank transfer
4. Next is to choose the source account from the list of Ecobank accounts linked to this mobile number in case of
5. multiple accounts i.e the account from which you will be debited
6. Next is to select the bank of the beneficiary from the list provided
7. Next is to input the account number of the beneficiary
8. Next is enter the amount you wish to send
9. The next prompt will show the name of the recipient, confirm if its the name before you confirm the transaction with your PIN. Once you confirm the transaction, it will be forwarded instantly and you will get your debit alert.
10. For other transactions, simply dial the code and choose the corresponding option from the list provided and then follow through till you confirm with your PIN.

How to Transfer Money from Xpress Account Different Bank Account using Mobile App

1. Download the app here
2. Open the Ecobank App
3. Next, click on transfer
4. Click on other local Bank
5. Type the amount you want to send
6. Under the “send using” option, choose Account Number.
7. In the Beneficiary Bank options, choose the Bank of the recipient
8. Enter the Account number of the recipient
9. Enter the Beneficiary name and click continue
10. Then, click “confirm and trasfer” to transfer the money to the recipient

How to transfer Money from Ecobank Xpress Account to other Ecobank Account

• Open the Ecobank App
• Next, click on transfer
• Click on Ecobank Domestic
• Type the amount you want to send
• Enter Account number of recipient and name
• Click Continue
• Click “confirm and transfer”
