Female Ghanaian Highlife/ Hiplife musician Sista Afia has revealed why she wasn’t present on the second night of the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Recall Sista Afia performed on the first night of the awards which was the industrial awards night last Friday at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) but failed to make an appearance the very next day during the main event.
The ‘Slay Queen’ hitmaker speaking on why she was missing in action at the event grounds over the weekend with Andy Dosty on his ‘Day Break Hitz’ morning show aired on Hitz FM stated she was not feeling well before the start of the awards night on Friday.
She continued she had to make an appearance on Friday because she was billed to perform and didn’t want to disappoint the organizers of the prestigious awards. She added she struggled through her performance all the way from start to finish.
Sista Afia also revealed she was having a feeling that she was not going to win any award on the second night hence decided to stay in bed for her recovery.
She received one nomination at the just ended musical event which is the Best Highlife Song with her hit song ‘Party’ which features colleague Highlife artiste Fameye.
