‘I paid GHS3.3k to clear a camera I bought for only $810’ – Popular YouTuber

A popular technology YouTuber, ‘Tech In Twi’ has explained in a recent video how he paid GHS3.3k as clearance fee on a camera he bought for only $810 on ebay.

According to him he was over charged by GCB when he ordered Nikon D810 camera which was $810 using visa card linked to his PayPal.

He said the bank was supposed to charge only $103 but they over charged him of GHS12,106.55 without any reasonable explanation.

The YouTuber recounted that, he was told he has only 3 months to clear it else they will send it to state warehouse and auction it.

‘I paid 3, 302. 55gh on a camera I bought for only 7, 860gh on ebay.

They told me I have only 3 months to clear else they will send it to state warehouse and auction it. This could 🇬🇭😢’, he wrote.

He continued to say the customs gave him 3 options, to pay and clear it, or return the item for free or they send to state warehouse and auction it.

So’ Tech In Twi’ decided to contact the shipping company FedEx to return the camera but they told him to pay a return fee of GH2600.00.

According to the tech Youtuber, he compared the prices, the amount he bought it, the custom fee and the return fee, and finally he paid GHS3,302.55 to clear.

‘1 item and am paying 16 taxes for it’ , he stated.
