I sing better than 80% of all female artistes in Ghana – Shylar.
Shylar, a rapidly emerging female singer from Ghana whose actual name is Berlinda Gedie, asserts that she is superior to 80% of all female artists in the nation.
According to the 22-year-old University of Ghana student, who has critically examined all of Ghana’s female artists, just a small number have genuine skill, compose songs that cross generations, and have broad appeal.
In November 2021, Shylar made her debut on the Ghanaian music world with her song “Go away,” which was quickly followed by another smash, “Pain.”
Due to parallels in vocal skill, the singer has previously been likened to the late Ebony Reigns.
While she acknowledges that these similarities are nice, she asserts that her brand is stronger and more resilient.
“I think the comparisons are cool, but trust me my brand is too strong to live under another artiste’s shadow’ she said. Her latest single ‘Killa Killa” produced by FIMFIM was released in June and is available on all major streaming platforms and on radio.
Shylar believes her single Killa Killa is not only the next biggest hit to come out of Ghana but it is also set to be an international sensation. I sing better than 80% of all female artistes in Ghana – Shylar
