A kingpin of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Joshua Alabi has declared interest in handling the senior national men’s soccer team, the Black Stars.

The Ghana Football Association is yet to announce a substantive manager for the national team.

CK Akonnor, who was the head coach of the team, together with his two assistants were on Monday shown the exit after a poor start to the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

With barely 24 hours to complete the search, the astute politician and NDC flagbearer hopeful announced on his official Facebook page that he wants to coach the team.
