It is anticipated that fuel prices would increase at all pumps

The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) has said that rising global crude prices and the declining value of the cedi will cause fuel prices to rise across pumps.

COPEC predicted that petrol prices will rise by roughly 3.38%, from an average of GH¢12.18 to GH¢12.59 per litre, in a statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Duncan Amoah.

According to the announcement, diesel prices could rise by 9.81%, from GH¢12.49 to GH¢13.71 per litre.

With prices predicted to increase by 1.97% to GH¢11.87 per kilogramme, LPG consumers are also anticipated to feel the squeeze.

The anticipated changes, according to COPEC, are a reflection of global market patterns and currency pressures that impact the price of petroleum imports.

The Chamber further stated that although the actual increases might vary slightly at different pumps, they would probably be within five percent of the estimated amounts.
