“It is not always in the place of a man to make approaches. – Singer, Ugoccie
Ugochi Anosike, also known as Ugoccie, a Nigerian singer, has stated that there is nothing wrong with women making sexual approaches toward males.
She mentioned how she had once asked a guy out, and he had accepted, during an interview, and made the remark.
The singer of “Do You Really Like Me” claimed that during their time together, the relationship was successful.
Ugoccie said; “I have told someone that I liked him before. I told him because most of the time people have this notion that if a lady walks up to someone and says she likes him, she is cheap. If one doesn’t tell a guy about his feelings, how is the guy supposed to know?
“It is not always in the place of a man to make approaches. I feel every lady should walk up to a guy and express her feelings. If any guy turns me down, it is fine, at least I tried. I once asked out a guy who did not say no and the relationship worked. However, the guy and I are no longer together (laughs).”
The singer also revealed that she once gave a guy some money she was supposed to give to her family.
“At that point, my family needed the money. I had absolutely no reason to give the money to that guy. The guy and I are not together anymore,” she said.
In related developments, a Nigerian couple who met on the website of relationship counselor Joro Olumofin two years ago got married.
Tosin, a guy, had posted on Joro’s dating site in 2021 that he was stationed in Texas and looking for a woman to start a meaningful relationship with who also lived in that location.
On January 7th, 2021, Tanwa came across the post and, while not residing in Texas, contacted the poster to express interest.
Tanwa’s note stood out among the many that Tosin received, but he didn’t reply.

Instead of giving up and abandoning her purpose, she got in touch with him once again three days later, and it was the start of a romance that would eventually result in their marriage in 2023.
This is the second pair getting married in 2023, according to Joro, who met through his dating website “Bae’s quest.”
On Instagram, Bellanaijaweddings revealed the couple’s love story.
”Tanwa was scrolling through IG on January 7th, 2021 when she came across an interesting “Joro Olumofin’s bae search” post. A certain young man based in Texas was searching for a lady also based in Texas interested in a serious relationship.
Tanwa wasn’t based in Texas but she still reached out to him via the contact information provided. The young man happened to be ‘Tosin’ and he was a bit slow with his responses because he was overwhelmed with messages from over 200 ladies (yes the post was that captivating 😂). Tanwa then again reached out 3 days later and the boy got hooked,” it read.
